Synopsis
Aoba Watase, a high-schooler heading back to class after summer break, is ambushed by a giant robot sent to kill him. His classmate Hina Yumihara appears in a mecha of her own, fends off the attacker, tells him "Dio is waiting," and hurls him over seventy years into the future. There Aoba lands in a war between the Free Pact Alliance and the Zogilia Republic and meets the pilot Dio Weinberg. The two prove highly compatible and learn to "couple" their Valiancer machines, sharing skills to fight as one.
