In the city of Yanagihara, three lives unfold in parallel. Takashi Haneda dreams of escaping to a fantasy land called Gretagard but stays tethered by his sister Kobato and his girlfriend Asuka. Shuusuke Chitose, a broke part-timer, ends up working beside Hiyoko Tamaizumi, an aspiring novelist with a sharp tongue. The antisocial Hayato Narita, who lives off heavy odd jobs, has his nights upended when a girl named Naru turns up. A radio voice, DJ Condor, narrates over the three threads.
