Diagnosed with an incurable illness, Yuji Kaido is frozen in cryogenic sleep until a cure can be found. He wakes decades later to an Earth overrun by the Blue, towering insectoid creatures that harvest humans as food and have driven the survivors into an orbital colony called Second Earth. Rescued by a hardened soldier named Marlene Angel, Yuji is dragged into the war against the Blue with no memory of how the world fell apart.
