Synopsis
After an earthquake called the Great Uprising splits a region into the wealthy Mainland and the lawless Lost Ground, a fraction of the survivors awaken powers known as Alter. Kazuma, a Native Alter user, takes mercenary work to support himself and his young friend Kanami Yuta, until he clashes with Ryuho, an Alter agent of the Mainland enforcement group HOLY. Their collision sets off a running rivalry between the freelance Kazuma and the disciplined HOLY operative across the ruins of the Lost Ground.
