After the destruction of the elite spy team Inferno, its sole survivor Klaus, regarded as the world's greatest spy, recruits seven washouts from various intelligence academies to form Lamplight, a unit specializing in Impossible Missions with a ninety-percent failure rate. Lily, a girl naturally immune to all poisons, earns the team-leader role after impressing Klaus with her initiative. Together the misfit squad must crack assignments that seasoned agents already died attempting, in a post-war world where nations fight entirely through espionage.
