Nono is a clumsy country girl who leaves home to become a space pilot and ends up waiting tables at a run-down diner instead. When the elite Topless pilot Lal'C Melk Mark fends off a space monster nearby, Nono idolizes her and attaches herself to the Topless corps that defends humanity in giant Buster Machines. Set generations after the original Gunbuster, this Gainax sequel OVA follows Nono's push to fight at Lal'C's side as the monsters return in force.
