The Straw Hat Pirates pull a treasure chest from a sinking ship and find an old woman inside, who promises a great reward if they take her home to Mecha Island. There, a poem hides the route to the legendary Golden Crown, but the island's ruler Ratchet, the woman's son, sets his forces against the crew. When Luffy stumbles onto part of the riddle, the pirates join the hunt, only to learn the island itself is a colossal mechanical turtle Ratchet means to weaponize. This seventh One Piece film is a standalone adventure.
