This OVA series traces the early life of Casval Rem Deikun, the boy who will become the masked ace Char Aznable, and his sister Artesia, later known as Sayla Mass. After the death of their father, the political leader Zeon Zum Deikun, the siblings are taken in by the Ral family and forced to flee Side 3 as the Zabi family seizes power. It is a prequel to the original Mobile Suit Gundam, set before the One Year War.
