Meicoomon has vanished into a distortion, and Taichi Yagami's group is left hunting the source of the infection spreading through their partner Digimon. Koushirou quarantines them in his office as the illness reaches even Patamon, while Meiko stays withdrawn and unable to explain what happened to hers. A presence borrows Hikari's voice to tell the group a hard truth about the Digital World. This is the third of six chapters, continuing directly from the previous installment.
