Synopsis
In the futuristic Mardock City, teenage prostitute Rune Balot is nearly killed in a car explosion set by Shell, a gambler who wants to bury what she knows about him. Saved under an emergency ordinance called Mardock Scramble 09, she is rebuilt as a cyborg by Dr. Easter and paired with Oeufcoque, a shape-shifting weapon that takes the form of a golden mouse. As Shell sends killers to finish the job, Balot trains to survive and testify. This is the first film of a three-part adaptation.
