Yuko Yoshida, the cash-strapped demon girl who goes by Shamiko, spent the first season failing to beat local magical girl Momo Chiyoda and ended up training under her instead. The curse the Light Clan laid on the Yoshida family is still unbroken, so Shamiko keeps grinding through Momo's workouts while the two settle into an odd partnership. This second season makes more room for the magical girl Mikan Hinatsuki and the rest of the neighborhood's demons and magical girls.
