Mamushi Hojo and Juzo Shima carry the first of two bonus shorts bundled with the Blue Exorcist manga, which fill in the edges of the Kyoto Saga. "Snake and Poison" goes back to their student days at True Cross Academy, following how Mamushi was manipulated then and how the two of them grew close. "Spy Game" turns comic, sending Renzou Shima on an undercover errand for the academy's principal, Mephisto Pheles. Both are supplements for viewers already following the Impure King storyline rather than a way in.
