Synopsis
East Tokyo United has spent years scraping to avoid relegation while its fans drift away, so the club brings in an unconventional new manager: Takeshi Tatsumi, a former ETU star who once walked out at the height of his playing career. He returns at the urging of his old teammate Gotou, now the club's GM, after coaching a lower-league amateur side in England. Many supporters still resent Tatsumi as a traitor as he sets about turning the underdogs into giant-killers.
