In the summer of 1983, the mountain village of Hinamizawa is sealed off by the government after a mysterious illness spreads among its residents. Keiichi Maebara, Mion Sonozaki, Rena Ryuugu, and the rest of the club find themselves trapped inside as supplies run short and panic turns neighbor against neighbor. No one can say whether the outbreak is the work of Oyashiro-sama's curse or a cover-up, and Rika Furude may already be infected. This OVA expands on events the original sound novel only implied.
