Akane Isshiki lives a cheerful, money-tight life on the island of Oshima with her little sister Momo and her inventor grandfather, who runs the world on his clean Manifestation Engine. When alien creatures called the Alone attack the engine, Akane dons the Vivid System combat suit her grandfather built and fights back as Vividred. To win, she must "dock" with other suit pilots like Aoi, Wakaba, and Himawari, while a withdrawn classmate named Rei Kuroki secretly helps the Alone grow stronger.
