The ordinary young man Lin Ling lives in a near-future world where superpowers come from public trust — believe a hero can fly hard enough and they fly — and heroes are ranked by the Trust Value on their wrist, with the top spot crowned X. When the popular hero Nice dies and his agency hides the news, Lin Ling is forced to take on Nice's face, persona and powers, with the agency holding him on a tight leash. This anthology donghua tells one hero's arc per block and lets the threads converge toward the tournament for the X seat.
