Shino Inuzuka, kept in the body of a thirteen-year-old by a curse and host to the living blade Murasame, presses on with Sosuke Inukawa, who can turn into a dog, to find the remaining holders of the eight peony-marked beads. This second season picks up after the first, with several beads already traced to people close to them, and brings the search up against Tamazusa, who wants every bead gathered for her own ends. Shino also keeps facing Ao, the shadow wearing Sosuke's stolen bead.
