Tsubaki is the top student of the Akane Class in a hidden village where girls train as kunoichi and are taught that men are dangerous creatures to be avoided entirely. She leads Team Dog, one of the squads the class splits into, each named for a zodiac animal. Drilled in shuriken and ninjutsu beside her teammates, Tsubaki keeps her growing curiosity about what men are actually like quietly to herself.
