In the Heart of Kunoichi Tsubaki

Tsubaki is the top student of the Akane Class in a hidden village where girls train as kunoichi and are strictly forbidden any contact with men — a rule set after a past generation nearly let the ninja line die out by pairing off. Drilled in shuriken and ninjutsu alongside teammates grouped into squads named for the zodiac animals, Tsubaki keeps her growing curiosity about what men are actually like quietly to herself.
