Emma, Norman, and Ray are among the brightest children at Grace Field House, an isolated orphanage where life is comfortable under the care of the woman they call Mom, Isabella. The only rule is that no one may leave or cross the gate at the forest's edge. When the three discover what truly waits beyond that gate, they begin plotting how to get every child out before their time runs out.
