Meiko Inoue, a recent college graduate, drifts through an office job she resents while her boyfriend Naruo scrapes by as a part-time illustrator in the apartment they share. Stuck between student life and adulthood, Meiko quits on impulse, and the couple turns toward the half-abandoned band they once played in as a way to make something honest out of their uncertainty. The story follows young adults in Tokyo trying to figure out what comes after their plans run out.
