血の轍

Middle schooler Seiichi Osabe lives a quiet, comfortable life under the constant care of his mother Seiko, whose attention he never questions. On a family hike, he watches Seiko deliberately shove his cousin Shigeru off a cliff and then turn to him with a calm smile, leaving the boy comatose and Seiichi the only witness. From that moment her doting affection curdles into something suffocating, and Seiichi must live each day inside the quiet horror of a mother whose love he can no longer trust.
