Synopsis
Hideo Suzuki is a 35-year-old manga assistant whose career has stalled and whose grip on reality is already shaky when a disease nicknamed ZQN sweeps Japan, turning the infected into deformed, frenzied attackers. Armed with a legally registered shotgun that suddenly makes him dangerous, Hideo flees the collapsing city and falls in with other survivors. The grounded, anxious self-image of a man who has always seen himself as a background character collides with a world where he might actually have to be the hero.
