Cadis Etrama Di Raizel, a noble of immense power known as Rai, wakes in modern South Korea after 820 years of sleep, with no grasp of the world that grew up while he was gone. He enrolls in Ye Ran High School, where he reunites with his devoted servant Frankenstein, now the school's principal, and falls in with ordinary teenagers like Shinwoo and Ikhan. As Rai adjusts to convenience stores and cell phones, the shadowy organization known as the Union begins to move against him.
