21st Century Boys is the two-volume sequel that closes out Naoki Urasawa's 20th Century Boys. Kenji Endo and his childhood friends are left in the fragile aftermath of the catastrophe engineered by the masked cult leader known only as Friend. A movement claiming Friend has been reborn keeps the danger alive, and the survivors finally chase down the questions the main series left open: the meaning of the old prophecy and who Friend truly was. It reads as a direct continuation, not a standalone entry point.
