With grades too poor for any normal high school, Tsukune Aono is enrolled by his parents at Yokai Academy — which turns out to be a boarding school for monsters, where any human caught on campus is to be killed. He survives by befriending Moka Akashiya, a vampire who likes his company and his blood, and discovers that pulling the rosario from her neck unleashes a far more powerful version of her. Other monster students like the succubus Kurumu and the young witch Yukari drift into his circle.
