Synopsis
Takashi Komuro is a chronically truant second-year at Fujimi High School when a stranger appears at the front gate and bites a teacher, and within minutes the dead are rising and tearing through the campus. Takashi grabs his childhood friend Rei Miyamoto and her boyfriend Hisashi Igou and breaks for the roof as the school collapses into slaughter. He falls in with a small band of survivors, among them the composed kendo ace Saeko Busujima and the sharp-tongued genius Saya Takagi, who arm themselves and fight their way off the grounds into a Japan overrun in a single day.
