Three years after an enormous alien mothership settled over Tokyo, teenagers Kadode Koyama and Ouran Nakagawa go about high school as if the threat had become part of the scenery. Classes, part-time worries, and gossip fill their days while the government quietly fails to bring the ship down and the country lives under a tense standoff. Through Kadode and Ouran's friendship, everyday life carries on beneath a sky that could fall at any moment, with the looming invasion treated as background to ordinary growing up.
