Synopsis
Noé Archiviste, a young vampire, is sent to nineteenth-century Paris by his teacher to find the Book of Vanitas, a cursed grimoire said to harm vampire-kind. He soon meets the book's current owner: a human doctor calling himself Vanitas, who uses the grimoire to heal vampires afflicted by a corruption called Malnomen. Vanitas declares his goal to be the salvation of all vampires, and Noé chooses to travel with him, wanting to understand both the book and the strange man who wields it.
