Kraft Lawrence is a traveling merchant working the roads of a medieval-style countryside, hauling goods between towns in hopes of one day opening his own shop. One night he finds Holo, a centuries-old wolf deity worshipped as a harvest goddess, hiding in his cart in human form with wolf ears and a tail. She bargains for passage north toward her old homeland of Yoitsu, and her sharp instinct for people and prices begins reshaping how Lawrence trades.
