In Gokuraku, a red-light district where supernatural beings live shoulder to shoulder with humans, the cool-headed swordswoman Tao and her cheerful partner Alma run a troubleshooting outfit that takes on any job the district throws at them. Their real employer is the Snake Pit, a hidden group that hunts the demonic Maga preying on the city. Alma, born a half-Maga himself, was pulled back from the brink by Tao — and now the two handle the cases no one else will touch.
