Synopsis
In sixth grade, Shoya Ishida leads his classmates in tormenting Shoko Nishimiya, a deaf girl newly transferred into his class, until the bullying is exposed and the blame falls entirely on him. Shunned and isolated for years afterward, a withdrawn Shoya sets out to find Shoko again in high school, having taught himself sign language, hoping to make amends with the girl he once drove away.
