Yuiko Kubozuka loves animals, but every creature she meets bolts away from her in terror. The transfer student Leo Aoi has the opposite problem: animals flock to him, yet his wild eyes and feral manner make classmates treat him as a monster. When Yuiko looks past his frightening face and becomes his first friend, Leo grows fiercely attached to her. The catch is that being attacked or seeing blood tips him into an animal rage that only Yuiko seems able to calm.
