Touta Konoe is a country boy raised by his teacher Yukihime, dreaming of the day he reaches Shin-Tokyo and the tower that rises from the city into space. When bounty hunters attack and he is fatally wounded, Yukihime's blood turns him immortal and reveals her as the centuries-old vampire Evangeline A.K. McDowell. Leaving his village behind, Touta joins UQ Holder, the secret society of immortals she leads. Set decades after Negima!, his first steps as an immortal take him out of the countryside and into that wider world.
