For generations the Northern Heavenly Sect held back the Silent Night, a force bent on plunging the martial world into darkness. When its leader Jin Kwan-Ho is accused of colluding with that enemy and gives his life to disband the sect and shield his son, Jin Mu-Won is left under close surveillance with nothing. A sudden Silent Night attack lets Mu-Won slip away to the mountains, where he trains in his forebears' secret techniques and returns to the martial world to avenge his father.
