Misao Harada has seen spirits since childhood, and on her sixteenth birthday the attacks turn deadly. Her childhood friend Kyo Usui returns and saves her, revealing himself as the leader of a clan of tengu demons. Misao learns she is the Bride of Prophecy, a girl whose blood is said to grant a demon clan prosperity, and Kyo intends to make her his bride while rival demons close in to claim her.
