Misao Harada has seen spirits since childhood, and on her sixteenth birthday the attacks turn deadly. Her childhood friend Kyo Usui returns to save her and reveals himself as the head of a tengu clan. Misao is the Bride of Prophecy: her blood grants power to any demon who drinks it, and marrying her is said to bring prosperity to the groom's whole clan. Kyo means to make her his bride while rival demons close in for her blood.
