Yamato Akitsuki moves to Tokyo to live above his aunt's bathhouse and attend a new high school. There he meets Suzuka Asahina, a standout high jumper who lives in the same dormitory and quickly captures his attention. Hoping to get closer to her, Yamato joins the track-and-field team, and finds he has a real talent for the hundred-meter sprint as he chases both the sport and Suzuka.
