Shin is the strongest player of The New Gate, a VRMMORPG that trapped its players inside as a death game. Moments after he defeats the final boss and frees everyone, an unknown light catches him before he can log out. He wakes to find the game has become a real world and that five hundred years have passed since his victory, leaving him to make his way through a transformed land where his name survives as legend.
