GIRL FRIENDS

Mariko Kumakura is a quiet, top-of-the-class high schooler who eats lunch alone until her outgoing classmate Akko Oohashi decides to befriend her. Akko pulls Mariko into shopping trips, makeup and a wider circle of friends, and the shy girl slowly comes out of her shell. As the two become inseparable, what Mariko feels for Akko stops looking like friendship, and she has no idea what to do with it.
