Sakura Yamauchi, a cheerful high schooler, keeps a handwritten journal titled "Living with Dying", and she leaves it in a hospital waiting room where a withdrawn classmate who would rather read than talk picks it up. What he read is true: a terminal pancreatic illness has left her little time, and nobody else knows. Sworn to secrecy, he becomes the one person she can be honest with, and she pulls him into the things she still wants to do, from a trip to Fukuoka to small dares.
