Mitsumi Iwakura leaves her tiny hometown in rural Ishikawa, where her graduating class had eight students, to attend a top high school in Tokyo with a plan to reach a prestigious university and change the world. Her debut goes sideways when she gets swallowed by the morning commute and turns up lost on the day of the entrance ceremony. A classmate named Sousuke Shima, as easygoing as she is over-prepared, walks her to school, and the two settle into a city and a school far bigger than anything she rehearsed for.
