High schooler Kazunari Usa finally moves out on his own into Kawai Complex, a boarding house that serves meals to its tenants, only to find his dream of independence overrun by oddballs. He shares a room with a self-described masochist, eats at a table with strange housemates, and discovers that his quiet, book-loving upperclassman Ritsu Kawai lives there too. Day by day, Usa tries to close the distance with the reserved Ritsu while navigating life under the same crowded roof.
