Princess Nakaba of Senan is married off to Prince Caesar of rival Belquat to patch over the hostility between their two kingdoms, bringing with her only Loki, her ajin attendant whose beast-like ears mark him as part of a despised underclass. The arranged marriage starts cold, but a brush with blood awakens Nakaba's Arcana of Time, a power that lets her glimpse the past and future. Caught between the courts of Senan and Belquat and the divide between ajin and humans, Nakaba must learn what her sight is worth.
