Nakaba, a red-haired princess of Senan, is married off to Prince Caesar of rival Belquat to patch over the hostility between the two kingdoms. The only person she brings with her is Loki, her half-Ajin attendant, whose beast ears mark him as part of a despised underclass. The arranged marriage starts cold, and at court Nakaba's Arcana of Time stirs, a power that shows her glimpses of the past and the future. Caught between Senan, Belquat, and the divide between Ajin and humans, she has to work out what her sight is worth.
