Yuugo Hachiken enrolls at Ooezo Agricultural High School in rural Hokkaido mainly to get away from his strict father after missing the entrance exam for the school he wanted, assuming farm school will be an easy place to coast. Instead he is thrown into pre-dawn chores, livestock he can't yet stomach, and classmates like Aki Mikage who already know exactly what they want from their lives. As he hauls feed, names piglets, and stumbles through the realities of agriculture, Hachiken slowly finds his footing and his own questions about the future.
