Ruri Aoki wakes up one morning to find horns sprouting from her head, and her mother calmly explains that her absent father is a dragon. Now a half-dragon, the easygoing high schooler has to manage new traits like breathing fire while still showing up to class and dealing with ordinary teenage worries. The story stays grounded in everyday life as Ruri tells her friends, navigates school, and gets used to a body that keeps surprising her.
