In the small town of Tokisadame, high-schoolers Yuuko Aioi, Mio Naganohara, and deadpan Mai Minakami drift through ordinary days that constantly tip into the absurd. Across town, the eight-year-old inventor known only as Hakase lives at the Shinonome Laboratory with Nano Shinonome, the android she built, and Sakamoto, a black cat whose scarf lets him talk. Their overlapping routines turn small events into runaway chaos, from a dropped sausage to a goat ride to school.
