Tatara Fujita is a directionless middle schooler with no goal and a habit of getting shaken down by bullies, until a dance instructor named Kaname Sengoku steps in and drags him to the Ogasawara Dance Studio. There Tatara discovers competitive ballroom, a sport he can copy move-for-move once he sees it, and decides to chase it. Pushed by Sengoku and surrounded by dancers far ahead of him, he starts from zero on the floor with everything to prove.
