Yuu is an orphaned boy passed between cold relatives since his parents died, until a strange basement in a guardian's shed leads him to Shub-Niggurath, an inhuman being who offers him a single wish. Lonely more than afraid, he asks her to become his big sister, and she takes the human form and name Chiyo to live beside him. Their days together blend quiet domestic warmth with the unsettling truth of what Chiyo really is.
