Ririchiyo Shirakiin, heir to a powerful family and an Atavist who carries yokai blood, moves into Maison de Ayakashi to escape her relatives and her own sharp tongue. Every resident of the mansion is assigned a Secret Service bodyguard, and Ririchiyo is paired with Soushi Miketsukami, a devoted fox-spirit agent whose attachment to her feels strangely personal. As she settles in among the building's other half-human tenants, she works to become someone kinder than her armor of cutting remarks suggests.
