Karin Maaka comes from a family of vampires who settled in Japan two centuries ago, but she is a backwards case: instead of drinking blood she produces far too much and has to inject it into others. Her quiet attempt to pass as a normal high-schooler falls apart when transfer student Kenta Usui arrives, because being near him makes her blood surge uncontrollably. Stuck in the same class and the same part-time job, Karin scrambles to hide her condition from Kenta even as he starts noticing that something about her does not add up.
