Synopsis
In Unabara during the mid-Edo period, the daimyō Naosata Washitzu orders his thirty-one sons each to find the strongest martial artist in the land and pit them against one another in a grand tournament. One son, Naoyoshi, climbs to the mountain dojo of the Ogame-ryū seeking the legendary swordsman Jinsuke Kurogane, only to find that Jinsuke has vanished and his teenage son Gama Kurogane remains in his place. Eager to prove his strength and track down his father, Gama enters the tournament alongside Iori Sengoku, the school's instructor.
